Magic Schools
For obvious reasons, Terra Innovo uses a slightly different magic system than that of the canon. This is done to make a basis for all magic, and to help ensure balance out there on the battlefield.
There are eight different types of magic, known as 'schools'. Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages, as well as having it's place on the battlefield and in everyday life.
- Protection - Protection spells are just what they sound like. They protect the caster from other forms of magical or physical attack. The most common form of Protection spells are magical shield spells, though things like alarms are also used.
One of the most used Protection spells is one that keeps normal, mundane humans away from an area. When a normal person comes near the warded area, they are given a sense of sheer discomfort until they leave the area. This is enough to keep most out, though some still enter.
- Conjuration - Also known as summoning spells, Conjuration spells bring objects from one place to another. This could either be an object, creature, or person... but the more complex and large the thing to summon is, the more difficult and draining the spell will be.
NOTE: Since the summoning of one's Servant is a Conjuration spell, Masters that are aware of the war beforehand often practice this magic in an attempt to gain a more powerful servant.
- Divination - Divination magic is the art of asking 'the powers that be' questions and recieving useful information. The most common usage of this type of magic is known as 'Scrying', where the caster will look into an object - usually a mirror or a pool of water - which will in turn spy on a target, letting them watch other people remotely. This is useful for gaining information on enemies or places.
- Enchantment - Enchantment is magic that alters the mental process of it's target. This could be used to make somebody like you more, or take them over completely and control them.
NOTE: This type of magic does not work on any other players within the RP, and may only be used on NPCs.
- Evocation - Evocation is the school of magic you want to study if blowing things up is your idea of a good time. Evocation spells create water, fire, ice, or whatever element you desire to directly attack ones opponent.
- Illusion - Illusion spells make things seem different than they actually are.
- Transmutation - Transmutation is the art of changing one thing into another. For example, one might change a regular shirt into metal, turning each strand of fabric into metal wire.
- Restoration - Restoration is just as it sounds, usually restoring it's target to it's optimal state. This includes healing wounds, replenishing stamina, or even speeding up recovery of ones own magical energy.
Additional Rules
- Masters are not all-powerful. Please use their skills with moderation.
- In this version of Fate, in order for Servants to replenish prana, Masters and Servants must REST close to each other. Sex is not resting. However, resting can be sleeping.
- Masters replenish their magical energy with a simple extended rest.
